Continuous Improvement Manager

Power Generation

Reporting to the UK Director of Continuous Improvement and Site Operations Director you will focus your attention on supporting the goals of the business by leading key Lean Sigma projects, initiatives and results. You will play a strategic role in the development of lean and continuous improvement, you will liaise with line and board management to support continuous improvement activities and develop a continuous improvement culture. Delivery of training/coaching on specific Lean Six Sigma tools to enhance employee capabilities in cost down projects and continuous improvement.
You will form part of the senior management team and will have full budgetary control with regards to lean and continuous improvement projects throughout the site. You will identify new areas for development and change, allocate considerable funds based on your judgement and will be accountable for delivering quantifiable improvements to board members. The role offers a clear career path into a 'Head Of' / Directors position.

Who we're looking for
You will be:
• Degree qualified (preferably in engineering) and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt,
•You will have extensive hands on experience of Lean and Six Sigma, with a track record of delivering quantifiable improvement.
• With excellent analytical, project management and interpersonal skills, you will feel comfortable communicating at all levels and will have strong leadership capabilities.
• A natural problem solver, with the ability to drive and manage change.
• Experience of working within a large multi site organisation would be advantageous, candidates with experience in power generation and/or working in a power station are highly desirable.
