Membership Development Manager

You will work with the Sponsor Member Director to grow large company membership of the BQF and to increase the breadth and depth of involvement of existing Sponsor and Key Plus Members. Your principal accountabilities will be to recruit large companies (more than 500 employees) as members. You will establish, maintain and deepen senior level relationships in selected large company member organisations (those selected to be agreed with the Sponsor Member Director) with the objective of achieving high levels of engagement, satisfaction and loyalty, and subsequent retention and re-commitment.

Who we're looking for
The Ideal Membership Development Manager will have:

• A proven track record in sales, using persuasive argument rather than hard sell tactics.
• The ability to sell consultatively at all levels
• Experience of recruiting for a membership organisation is desirable
• The ability to network effectively to meet the decision makers
• Comfortable working at all levels (including the most senior) in a range of organisations.

• Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Determination, persistence and a positive attitude
• Motivated by the challenge of achieving results and making a difference
• Able to rapidly absorb and discuss a range of topics and new ideas
• Able to fit into and work with a small team
