As Financial Controller you will play a crucial role, within a team of six, providing a classic finance role encompassing financial, regulatory and management reporting as well asoverseeing and developing first class operational processes and managing the accounts payable function.

Key accountabilities will include:
• Facilitate the production of daily regulatory reports
• Facilitate the monthly production of the Channel Islands general ledger from the various business source systems, working in a team of three
• Analyse accounts in the transaction systems and pass correcting journals where necessary, including, but not limited to salary journals
• Prepare the monthly internal financial returns
• Prepare the monthly Group regulatory returns
• Prepare the monthly and quarterly local Regulatory returns to ensure compliance with the relevant regulations
• Keep up to date with current regulatory requirements and be actively involved in regulatory projects when it arise
• Support the Financial Controller with the data for their reporting needs, and be a source for technical accounting issues
• Be aware of process redesign in order to facilitate efficiencies on both a local and regional level
• Prepare year-end financial statements
Main tasks:
• Review the daily regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with internal triggers and indicators
• Take appropriate action to address issues when it arises
• Produce revenue reports and circulate to business for authorisation. Investigate any variances
• Produce balance sheet
• Produce trial balance
• Review journal entries and trial balance for inconsistencies and pass journal entries to correct any incorrect bookings
• Facilitate the monthly and quarterly J/GFSC, FSA reporting ensuring that external deadlines are met
• Review the reports, obtaining relevant explanations for key movements and follow up key issues
• Liaise with internal and external contacts regarding appropriate accounting treatments
• Roll forward Channel Island entity financial statements
• Produce draft financial statements for audit purposes

Who we're looking for
Qualified ACA from the EU, with experience of financial services gained within the profession or within a large FS organisation. You must be keen to relocate for this role. Weekly commuting is not an option.
