Operating as a key member of the management team, primary areas of responsibility will be:
• Developing strategic and innovative financial plans, working as a trusted advisor to the Board on all financial aspects.
• Creating a financial framework that will be able to support the demands of a growing business.
• Planning, managing and enhancing the Finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Actively participating with and co-ordinating the implementation and ultimate consolidation of the accounts of the subsidiary companies in Africa.
• International tax planning and structuring overseas projects and investments.
Who we're looking for
Candidates will be qualified accountants, ideally with a background in the energy sector. With a high level of technical competency, especially around IFRS and UK corporate tax regulations, the successful applicant will have led the creation and delivery of first class financial support to a business and contributed to strategic planning at Board level. Experience of project based operations particularly in the African continent is desirable as is the requisite energy and ability to help shape rapid entrepreneurial development.
