Overseas Assistant Merchandiser

To manage the day-to-day activities of their department, ensuring they get the right stock in place at the right time so that the department's and franchise partners sales and stock targets are achieved.

Who we're looking for
You will be an Overseas Assistant Merchandiser or equivalent, or an existing Assistant Merchandiser looking for a new take on your role.
Managing the team:
1. Takes responsibility for delegating daily tasks to trainee(s), setting realistic deadlines and following up to ensure that the agreed tasks are auctioned so that the department's objectives are met.
2. Supports the training of the trainee(s) in their department as required.
Planning the Range:
1. Analyses previous sales and stock data in order to formulate proposals for range planning.
2. Provides the relevant data regarding partner performance to their merchandiser
Developing the Range:
1. Develops and maintains their awareness of current market trends, cultural differences, franchise stores and competitors through regular communication and visits
Selecting the Range:
1. Liaises with Mainline merchandise teams to obtain up to date planning dates and selection deadlines.
2. Selects a comprehensive range to meet agreed budgets whilst taking in to account the market needs and cultural differences of the franchise.
Sending Stock to Franchises:
1. Progress range to ensure any potential problems are dealt with promptly and effectively so that all key dates are met and keeps merchandiser informed about any action taken.
