Financial Controller

As Financial Controller, you will support local management and Partners (Legal) to manage their business effectively and to execute the group's financial and business strategy; take responsibility for all finance matters, including accounting, budgets, balance sheet management (including WIP and accounts receivable), treasury, taxation and funding and lead and develop the Finance function to provide effective commercial support and challenge to the business.
The role's main objectives and accountabilities are:
•to support local management and Partners to manage effectively local financial affairs
•to ensure the integrity of local financial accounting records, systems, procedures and controls
•to provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial management information to local management, Partners, Group Finance and third parties

The role's other objectives and accountabilities are:
•to provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information to local regulators and other bodies (For example, tax authorities)
•to obtain a clean audit opinion on local financial statements and subsidiary entities
•to support key and strategic projects including (amongst other things) premises

Also, to manage effectively the financial aspects of the firm's relationship with its key external advisers and other bodies including auditors, regulators and financial institutions.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

•oversee the effective day-to-day, management of local finance
•participate fully in the local governance bodies
•manage effectively the local relationship with its external advisers and regulators
•manage, direct, control local financial budgeting and business planning processes
•manage effectively the local financial strategy
• manage effectively all financial matters relating to the Partnership and the local business
•represent the partnership in all external bodies relevant to the conduct of its business.
