A leading Public Services organisation based in Birmingham is looking to recruit the senior post of Head of Marketing.
Job Purpose

• To lead the marketing campaigns for the business in terms of both actual delivery and people management
• To help formulate with the Marketing Director strategic marketing plans for the next financial year
• To effectively manage and motivate the Campaign Manager and Online Manager and support them in ensuring they pro-actively develop the skills of staff across the marketing team
• To develop and oversee effective marketing campaigns to positively increase perception locally, regionally, nationally and internationally
• To ensure that all campaigns are effectively launched to both customers and to our corporate stakeholders
• To proactively raise awareness of events and activities within the Birmingham region in both the business and leisure sectors
• To ensure our plans are implemented in line with commercial expectations
• To ensure effective and appropriate production of our members' products and services in line with our membership scheme guidelines
• To maximise the marketing relationships with Champions and account manage these where necessary

Who we're looking for
Essential

• Graduate with professional Marketing Qualifications at CIM PDip level or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years marketing experience<BR>• Minimum 3 years experience in a senior management position
• Strong Online campaign skills both strategic and tactical
• Strategic thinker and experience of writing marketing strategies
• Experience of managing senior marketers
• Experience in public and private sector marketing
• Through the line marketing experience<BR>• Campaign management experience<BR>• Strong leadership skills
• Strong motivational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience of working with marketing, advertising and media agencies
• Must be able to manage to tight budgets
• Adaptable and able to think out of the box

Desirable

• Experience of CRM
• Market research experience in terms of both commissioning and using to devise campaigns
