Regional HR Manager

There is now a rare and exciting Regional HR Manager role within this leading multi site business. The post holder will manage all HR Operations matters across the North reporting to the UK HR Director and work to actively improve business performance through effective resource management. Working closely with senior operations colleagues you will take responsibility for the following:
• Devising an attraction strategy for the North to ensure the business recruits and retains the best talent
• Minimising management vacancies by creating and implementing an effective succession planning framework across the regions
• Writing a management induction programme that engages new colleagues and ensuring 3-month evaluations take place on time. Conducting exit interviews where necessary and feeding back to the recruitment team and Operational Directors.
• Coaching senior Operations colleagues on successful performance management initiatives and their benefits to the business and how to apply to all staff.
• Working closely with the Learning & Development team to ensure training is rolled out across the division in line with company and wider legislation
• Strategically working with senior operations colleagues to continue the business' programme of cultural change
• Translate divisional business plans and shape the HR Operations strategy for the North
• Act as the face of HR and work to promote the brand long term

NB- This role is a Regional HR Manager and you will be field based. It is required, therefore, for you to travel quite extensively as part of your role.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have outstanding knowledge of a fast moving industry on a regional basis and the challenges faced by businesses in a heavily cost influenced time. You will be able to maximise the capabilities and productivity of others and inspire them to perform, driving employee engagement. You will be able to build relationships with operational colleagues with ease and work collaboratively across the Regions but also challenge opinions and decisions where necessary. You must be an excellent generalist, ideally with strong knowledge of training, coaching and performance management. You must be able to think strategically, planning how to drive performance across the north. • The CIPD is also desirable.
