As an Assistant Merchandiser for this Fashion company, you will be responsible for:
• Define effective merchandising methods to achieve profit targets through stock and price management.

• Manage the developed phased sales/stock intake plans at category and line level. Plan phased promotional and clearance activities within the defined markdown strategy, reviewing and re-forecasting as required and actioning to maximise profit.

• Control the margin on commitment and sales on a regular basis, highlighting any areas performing below budget. Identify any other areas of concern and take action required.

• Review the weekly sales figures and undertake analysis and action as required to continually update forward buying forecasts. Identify trends which represent opportunities or risk to profit.

• Manage the optimisation of store stocks in line with sales performance to improve company profitability and maximise product availability.

• Regularly review the delivery schedule forecasts and the actual intake of merchandise with Production and Logistics Departments, anticipating and/or identifying potential problems and take remedial action to resolve issues.

• In conjunction with store operations, support the development of the store opening programme, stock planning, initial allocation and store layout.

• Follow and revise the merchandise planning calendar to ensure all deadlines are met. Support the development of the critical path.
