Exciting times ahead for this global manufacturing firm. As part of one of the worlds leading heavy industry manufacturing companies, our client is migrating their main group finance function to their South Wales site. This vacancy offers a unique and challenging opportunity to someone who is looking to play a role in the evolution of the finance function arising with the group.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the fixed asset and general ledger work transfer from UK businesses to the South Wales site. This involves assisting the business in understanding the work transfer process and outlining the future processes to be undertaken, whilst ensuring that South Wales site is sufficiently ready to undertake the work.

The position also involves understanding the Corus1 solution being implemented at each site, managing a small team executing work transfer documentation and ensuring that any issues with the data being migrated are documented and resolved prior to migration. The jobholder will need to maintain close links with the operational team to ensure that both teams are aligned and changes to processes are communicated.

The role requires frequent interaction with the Corus1 Programme team but reports functionally to the Manager.

Frequent UK travel is required.

Who we're looking for
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and professionally qualified, the jobholder should have financial management experience, with preferably some experience obtained within the company. Other key attributes include:
?X Knowledgeable of financial processes e.g. general ledger, capital projects and fixed assets.
?X Experience of system changes and consequential process changes
?X Ability to deal with a steep learning curve
?X IT literate
?X Good interpersonal skills
?X Enthusiastic
