The role of Indirects Buyer will report into the Purchasing Manager, and you will be responsible for all the Indirects expenditure at their UK plant in Greater Manchester.
You will be looking at the current supplier base, analysing and proposing strategy regarding supplier base., and current performance. You will negotiate new service and indirect goods contracts: formalising terms and conditions as well as SLAs. You will be able to build excellent supplier relationships and build upon these to improve efficiencies.
As well as dealing with day to day operational purchasing you will be exploring current markets, looking at future trends and working on a strategic level, taking the business forward.
Who we're looking for
You will ideally come from a manufacturing, technological industry with an Indirects spend background. You will have a proven track record of providing cost savings and improved efficiencies. You will be striving for continuous improvements,
You will be an excellent negotiator, and be an effective communicator, both with external and internal suppliers and customers. You will be a strong team player, working together towards group initiatives.
You will ideally be CIPS qualified or equivalent.
