The role involves category management within the healthcare sector within the public sector.
You will be expected to undertake analysis to understand size, technical and clinical trends. You will have the ability to develop relationships with the current supplier base, identify improvements and put in place improvement strategies, as well as sourcing new products, services and suppliers according to market trends and forecasting. You will reporting on supplier performance and managing supplier rationalisation
You will be tendering for new contracts,and managing the processes from cradle to grave
You will be responsible for inventory management for your category, initiate improvement of SLAs whilst maintaining lean processes where appropriate. Customer service is key to the provision of clinical products,and an understanding of this area advantageous.
Who we're looking for
You will ideally have a background within healthcare and or the public sector. A knowledge of clinical processes and procedures would be advantageous.
You will be a team player and have great communication skills.
You will have a proven track record of cost savings and service improvements, along with record of improved margins, revenue, and improved terms of business savings.
You will have initiative and have the ability to work on your own
You will ideally be CIPS qualified or equivalent
