Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for the co-ordination of all the projects currently being undertaken by the business. Working within a small team of highly skilled and experienced engineers you will need to be flexible and capable of adapting to a variety of challenges. Key to this role is an ability to manage the teams time, co-ordinating their activities and ensuring that plans are comprehensively created, maintained and adhered to. By analysing the potential risks involved and allowing for a significant amount of site visits and meetings you will ensure that the project runs to schedule enabling the business to maintain its cash flow. Ultimately this role will be the focus of the organisation giving the candidate full responsibility over the whole business.
Who we're looking for
You will have previously worked in a Project Management role with a proven track record in managing your time, your teams time as well as managing contractors and customers. Experience within a heavy plant manufacturing environment and exposure to the associated civil projects will be a distinct advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to deal with customers and contractors. You will be a confident person, capable of making decisions and working with little or no direct supervision. Experience of working on a small number of large projects at home and abroad will be a significant advantage, as will a degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline. Owing to the international nature of this business the role will require the right individual to travel to site, controlling the project both remotely and with face to face meetings. This represents a fantastic opportunity to some one who enjoys travelling and spending up to 50% of your time on site would.
