Job Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you shall manage all Operations Engineers and related positions within your division:
- To liaise with Nord Stream pipeline design and construction teams to provide operations & maintenance input to design & commissioning.
- To manage the operations department during the construction phase (e.g. preparation of operating manpower plans, operating and maintenance procedures, operations budget, etc.).
- To manage the operations department during the operations (e.g. meet specified targets for transportation volumes, pipeline system availability, opex budget, HSE performance, etc.).
- To liaise with the upstream Compressor Station Operator and the downstream Gas Terminal Operator regarding daily pipeline operations.
- To develop procedures for operational emergency situations and other unplanned incidents and to manage the response to such situations and incidents.
Who we're looking for
- A degree in an engineering discipline (e.g. chemical, mechanical or electrical)
- Experience in oil and gas industry.
- Experience in high pressure gas export pipeline operations and maintenance.
- Experience in pipeline joint venture technical and commercial operations.
- Experience in some or all of the following would be a distinct advantage:
1. high pressure gas pipeline system thermo-hydraulic modelling 2. onshore and offshore pipeline engineering and construction 3. remote SCADA systems utilising long-distance fibre-optic and satellite telecommunication systems
