Due to the unrivalled growth of their European business, including signing new long term contracts they are now seeking to further strengthen their European team. They are seeking a number of Sourcing Project Managers with deep category experience in one of the following:
• Marketing Services
• Travel
• Facilities/MRO
In this position, you will be working across a number of ICG Commerce clients, acting as a senior subject matter and sourcing process expert. You will identify, develop and deliver a multiple of strategic sourcing initiatives across specific categories. Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to London. You will:
• Provide project management and strategic sourcing process expertise to advise both internal ICG Commerce consultants, as well as ICG Commerce clients, on best practice
• Lead numerous sourcing projects, looking at all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution.
• Identify cost improvement opportunities in category spend across a wide array of leading companies.
• Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts; support account stakeholder relationship plans.
• Mentor category sourcing team on stakeholder and project management, with a special emphasis on collaboration, customer focus, delivery excellence, continuous improvement, negotiations and contracting.
• Represent the Sourcing & Category Management team as a category expert to current and prospective customers.
Who we're looking for
• A degree in a quantitative discipline from a top tier university.
• Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing and/or category management process within FTSE 250 companies.
• Fluency in European languages including Italian, French, German or Romanian are an advantage.
• Demonstrable ability to effectively manage a wide range of category suppliers, across a broad range of subcategories.
• Excellent communication, organisational/time management skills.
• Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders or customers that have resulted in high customer satisfaction.
• Solid multi-phase project management skills.
• Ability to drive transformational change.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
