Conduct of an interesting and varied caseload, covering workplace safety in sectors such as the construction industry, mining, offshore installations, the gas and electricity supply industry, nuclear installations, hospitals and schools. Advising on the investigation of such cases especially where complex issues arise at an early stage. Opportunities to become involved in the delivery of enforcement training to HSE's inspectors, many of whom are highly specialised in their particular field. The post will involve some travelling, for example to court hearings and case conferences and additionally, during the period of transition, between the offices in London and Liverpool (headquarters).
Who we're looking for
An Enforcement Lawyer with good knowledge of criminal law, practice and prosecutions, someone who can quickly assimilate new areas of law, with strong analytical skills and powers of written and oral communication. A good team player who has sound practical judgement, flexibility and who is capable of managing the situations to get the best result from the resources available. Solicitors or Barristers can apply.
About our client
My client is relocating its core functions, including its enforcement legal team, to its modern headquarters and is looking for 2 lawyers to build capacity as part of this process.
