Updated November 24, 2008

This London based Business Intelligence company are looking for a Research Analyst who will have responsibility for providing "intelligent data" to Financial Services Firms. My client is regarded as being at the forefront of market analysis, and the role offers a rare chance to gain intimate exposure of this area. They operate with the aim of providing Business and Market Intelligence, along with Enterprise Intelligence to the leading investment banks and financial services firms across Europe and the U.S.A. The information collated will then enable these clients to gain unrivalled insights into their performance and position in the market.
As Research Analyst Financial Services you will be responsible for leading a client - specific team, with the task of managing day to day client interaction throughout the life course of specific projects and assigned work. You will manage the entire project process, including the tasking of junior analysts and the India based data centre. You will be regularly required to conduct face to face interviews with key client staff as part of the process of intelligence gathering and/or project work.
The Research Analyst will also be responsible for directing the preparation and presentation of reports to Senior Managers at the client company. You will also be expected to be an integral part of the company, with other functions including the training and development of junior analysts, the development and incorporation of new products and services, as well as identifying opportunities for the maximisation of revenue.

Successful candidates should have:
• A core background in Investment Banking (preferably capital markets) or financial services consulting, with an exceptional knowledge of investment banking products.

•Very strong interpersonal skills including experience of answering and presenting to Senior Managers.
•Excellent report writing skills and the ability to present complex concepts simply and persuasively.

In order to be successful candidates should be capable of adapting from a big company to a small company, thus working independently.
