This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and commercial Market Manager with knowledge and experience of the wholesale energy market to join one of the largest energy providers in the world.

Reporting to the Head of Products and Operational Pricing, the purpose of the role is manage and develop my clients range of flexible complex, trading based products. It will be your role to coordinate the operational pricing activity to deliver accurate contract pricing and analysis to large flexible deals. Overall, the role responsibilities will include:

• Monitor and analyse the performance of the existing flexibility range, to ensure sales targets are being achieved in terms of volume and margin. In addition, you will provide timely, accurate and insightful reports, so that the performance of the products is clearly visible to senior management and strategy can be discussed with the facts clearly known.


• Constantly monitor the competitiveness of the current range of products, in order to be able to recommend changes in margin levels and contract structures and optimise commercial performance. This to include analysing individual competitor offers and special T&Cs, so as to gain an understanding of competitor pricing & hedging strategy. In addition you will drive all product changes end to end.


• Lead the operational pricing team of 5 Energy Analysts (Juniors and Seniors) in order to deliver on time accurate pricing for flexibility tenders. In addition you will need to obtain and keep a high degree of expertise in wholesale market, pricing and competitor offer analysis within the team, in order to sustain the flexibility business in the long term.

Who we're looking for
You will currently be working as a business manager, market manager or senior product manager/analyst within the energy market. It is expected that you will therefore have the commercial, analytical and numerical experience required to develop and manage a business unit.

Good communication skills are required, both in writing (for example, producing business cases, or briefings for Sales staff) and verbally (for example, doing presentations on a new product to sales staff, supporting Sales in customer visits or guest speaking in Energy events).

It is imperative that you are a good motivator and man-manager as you will lead a team of up to 5 people.
