The post which reports directly to the CEO has been created to drive the development and maintenance of the Academy's web based platform.
Work with the regions throughout England will also be required to link all activities to the online learning portal system.
It is essential that candidates for this post have demonstrated success in maintaining and developing an online learning portal and/or a web portal handling sales and brokering of services.
Also a demonstrable history of running a business unit to maximise revenue is required, as the Online Platform Manager will be responsible for generating half the income of the National Skills Academy.
The NSA will revolutionise the UK sport and active leisure industry by providing one, single coherent approach to the very best skills training in the sector.
The significantly opportune timing of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, will provide a renewed focus on the sport and active leisure industry.
Who we're looking for
You will be reporting directly to the CEO so will have excellent hands on experience with:
• Configuring and maintaining the online learning portal.
• Creating the strategy and Project Managing the transition of the sportactivensa website to a full online academy
• The ability to run an e-learning platform
• The creation of domains, organizations, audiences, catalogue categories.
• The uploading and mapping of content to users.
• Obtaining a deep understanding of all components, features, and functions of the learning portal.
• The person will serve as a second tier of technical support, interfacing directly with the application provider promptly resolving issues.
• The designing and developing of learning solutions, including online courses and simulations, training manuals, quick reference guides, and other documentation for the Academy's customers.
• Coordinating the technical aspects of the quality assurance process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all information and data residing on the learning platforms.
• Participates in (and sometimes leads) the testing of technology development tools.
• Supports system integration projects between systems and vendor systems.
