Due to the unrivalled growth of their European business, including signing new long term contracts they are now seeking to further strengthen their European team. They are seeking a number of Category Leads, to be based in London, with deep experience in one of the following:
• IT/Telecom
• Marketing Services
• Facilities and MRO
• Travel
In this position, you will be fully responsible for one of the above categories, working directly with an ICG Commerce client. You will provide category expertise and day-to-day management of category to ensure the successful delivery of category management services, including, but not limited to: sourcing; client stakeholder management; supplier performance management; and continuous cost and performance improvement.
You will be responsible for:
• Designing and implementing cost savings projects across multiple sub-categories within your specialist area.
• Engaging with customers' senior management team members to drive and communicate progress.
• Measuring and managing suppliers' (aka providers, agencies, etc.) performance relative to contracted service levels.
• Identifying and resolving strategic supplier performance issues through corrective action plans to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Performing total cost of ownership evaluations, performing supply-market research and conducting pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost improvements.
• Working collaboratively with suppliers and client stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies.
• Coaching and developing team members in their performance and professional development.
Who we're looking for
• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related discipline, MBA preferred
• Ability to serve as the subject matter expert for one of the categories outlined above.
• Fluency in European languages including Italian, French, German or Romanian are an advantage.
• Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Formal training and/or experience in strategic sourcing
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
