Financial Planning & Analysis Manager within International Research & Development division of Amgen. This newly created position is key to supporting Amgen's continued success and development. Supporting the Single Medical Platform and working closely with the International R&D Finance Director responsibilities will include:
• Business Partnering the Medical Leadership Team
• Managing the budgetary, planning and forecasting process
• Providing analysis for decision support with International Stakeholders
• Leading business planning and modelling 'what if' scenarios
• Overseeing and supporting projects at all levels
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. Beyond this the ability to understand and influence operational business units is critical. This role will provide direct support to the Medical Leadership Team and first class communication skills will be critical to success.
Experience in a multi-national matrix structure will be an advantage as will the flexibility to support international stakeholders- some travel will be required. This is a very high profile role and therefore you will need to be able to demonstrate a clear ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of a business. Most of your customers will be operational leaders and it is imperative that you can show an ability to understand the commercial challenges that Amgen face.
