As HSE Manager you will be required to play a leading role in the production of safety plans, risk assessments and method statements for one of the leading Property Services organisations in the UK.
You will provide advice on training requirements where required and aid the Group Safety Manager in devising strategies to improve safety awareness throughout the Group through toolbox talks and delivery of training.
You will ensure that relevant health and safety legislation is complied with in all the Group's offices and sites and upon the direction of the Group Health and Safety Manager, carry out regular inspections of the Group's sites and places of work.
Ideally you will have a proven track record within the Property Services / Social Housing sector with recent relevant experience within a Local Authority or with a Social Housing contractor.
Essential to the role will be your excellent understanding of repairs and maintenance within the Property Services sector and your willingness to play a central part to the group's ongoing development.
Who we're looking for
The Ideal HSE Manager will possess:
• A proven track record within practical health and safety practice on Social Housing construction sites with a good knowledge of best practice.
•Registration with IOSH.
•NEBOSH General Certificate and Construction Certificate as a minimum qualification, ideally holding a level 4 NVQ/ Diploma in Safety Management.
• The ability to play a central role in the Group's HSE policy.
• A proven track record within the Social Housing sector with either a Local Authority or Decent Homes Contractor.
• First class inter-personal and leadership qualities.
• The desire to progress their career within a leading organisation within the Property Services sector.
