The role will involve Credit Analysis of new Commercial Property Loans loans originated by the Bank and Portfolio Management of the Bank's Property Portfolio.
Specifically:
• Management of new business applications concerning real estate financing on an international basis
• Assessment of proposed structure: analysis of properties in relation to use, location and profitability, review of property related documents
• Assessment of the borrowers creditworthiness (analysis of annual accounts, income statements, interim reports)
• Preparation of credit application
• Instruction of external valuers (together with internal valuer)
• Involve Legal Department in accordance with "Guidelines for Involvement of Legal Department in Transactions" to instruct external solicitors and advisors
• Work closely with external professionals to ensure the bank's position is fully protected
• Preparation or review of required loan and security documentation and sub-participation agreements, review and registration of securities
• Liaise with Headoffice for approval of final loan documentation in accordance with credit process procedure
• Customer Due Diligence Process
• Reporting of loans for refinancing / funding
• Monitoring progress of properties under construction jointly with Internal Valuer, instruction of and closely working with external project monitors
• Decision making within the assigned responsibilities and authorisations
• Cooperation with and support of origination team
• In case of absence of the Head of Credit UK the Senior Credit Analyst will deal with the day to day work in case of any urgent questions/requirements
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
• strong commercial UK/Irish real estate credit experience from a European focused corporate or investment bank and will currently be based in London
• A strong sense of responsibility and will be able to work independently and systematically within agreed deadlines
• They will be analytical thinkers, with a risk conscious approach and will be able to make decisions
