The current leadership team are looking to recruit a Technical Manager to support further business growth. This is a critical position that will strengthen the current management team and provide the necessary leadership within the technical design and delivery function.
Responsibilities will include:
• Leadership of the engineering/design team
• Delivery of specific technical projects
• Ensuring compliance with current processes and quality accreditation
• Input into key design decisions, and challenging of the status quo
• Subject matter expert for customer technical issues
This role will require a technically proficient manager, who understands the industry standards and can provide leadership to the function. They will be operationally responsible for the day to day requirements of getting product designs into manufacture, and will be a key interface with the company's customers. The business are implementing ISO9001/2000 so previous exposure to quality systems would be an advantage.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a technical background that includes in depth mechanical engineering understanding. This is likely to include formal education in this area and will be allied to an in depth manufacturing background.
Your sector exposure will come from a structures environment ideally from manufacturing although structural engineering backgrounds will also be considered. Typical backgrounds are likely to relate to specific structural businesses (lighting, telecoms or related construction environments). You will be a natural leader with a desire to improve current processes and deliver against cost and quality objectives.
