As Head of Housing Strategy, Investment and Performance you will oversee the management of the Housing Capital Programme and deliver the Housing Asset Management Strategy according to our Client's priority.
Essential to the role will be your proven ability to provide strong professional and managerial leadership of the Housing Strategy, Investment and Performance function including the setting of clear objectives and targets, allocating resources, assessing impact and creating a working environment where employees will flourish and deliver services within to the highest possible standard.
You will be responsible for overseeing the management of the housing capital and Decent Homes programme and be the performance monitor for all aspects of housing service delivery within Northampton.
Your function will be to deliver the housing asset management strategy which takes advantage of future opportunities for securing investment in housing within the current policy framework.
You will be instrumental in implementing plans to enable the Housing Service to improve so that it is acknowledged as Good by 2009/10 and Excellent within five years.

Who we're looking for
As Head of Housing Strategy, Investment and Performance you will possess:
• A track record of proven leadership and management in a broadly comparable working environment.
• Evidence of successful team leadership, motivation, mentoring and coaching.
•Professional qualifications in housing or a related discipline, such as regeneration, planning or development.
• Proven project and programme management skills in a Housing related service.
• Experience of managing change programmes and working proactively to make organisational change happen.
• Experience of working at senior level within a locally focussed public service delivery organisation.
• First class inter-personal, communication and relationship-building skills.
