Our client, whose headquarters are in Scotland, is a leading manufacturer in its field. Their strategic plan is to grow their already successful American operation and, as a consequence, they wish to appoint a high calibre finance professional to support the American CEO in delivering this plan. The successful candidate will facilitate this growth by implementing financial controls, commercial analysis and people development as well as devising strategy in conjunction with the board. This is a truly exceptional role for someone who is looking to progress their career on an international basis by relocating to America.
You will be given exposure to many different areas of the business both at operational and strategic levels. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Managing the company's financial position to maximise profitability, cash flow and return on investment.
• Providing business and financial strategy planning, monitoring, management and reporting.
• Development and management of policies, systems, processes and personnel.
• Review and approval of business unit monthly operating reports for corporate and group management.
• Preparation of annual budget.
• Management of accounting, finance, treasury, risk management, performance measurement, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory and tax functions.
• Establishment of goals for individual business units and development of performance measurement metrics
Who we're looking for
It is not necessary to currently be operating at CFO level, however, you will need to possess strong commercial acumen and be capable of dealing with the challenges that are inherent to working in a rapidly growing business.
We are searching for a candidate who can closely match the following skills and attributes:
• Qualified accountant who has experience of working in a senior finance role.
• A hands-on self-motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm.
• You will strive for tight controls whilst also having the ability to take a broader strategic view of the business.
• Must be a self-starter who has excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on their own initiative and develop key working relationships with all stakeholders of the business.
• High attention to detail and consistently striving for accuracy.
• Have excellent management and leadership skills.
