The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within Pallinghurst and will provide legal support in areas such as:
- the structuring and drafting of new and ongoing corporate transactions relating to Fund investments and follow on portfolio company activity;
- drafting and advising in respect of a vast range of commercial agreements;
- managing external legal counsel (both UK and in multiple international jurisdictions); and
- providing ad hoc legal advice in respect of other miscellaneous legal issues including complex international investment structuring, listing requirements, human resources etc.
The successful candidate will play a highly visible role within the business and must be comfortable with this level of exposure and responsibility, together with an ability to provide strong, commercial and timely advice to the business.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have first class legal experience and commercial exposure from either a leading private practice firm or relevant in-house environment.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a common law jurisdiction and preferably will have relevant experience (ideally corporate/corporate finance/projects) where they have been exposed to the mining sector. Candidates without this specific industry experience will have to demonstrate significant transferable exposure together with a genuine desire to operate in the mining sector. Funds and/or Private Equity experience is preferred.
The successful candidate will be a self starter, capable of working independently and have excellent interpersonal skills. A highly motivated individual responsible for finding constructive solutions to complex issues.
