To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills to embed a continuous improvement culture within the business.
Responsibilities will include:
• To define CI strategy in line with Corporate guidelines and agree the implementation plan with the Senior Management Team. The strategy is to include; 5S, Value Stream Mapping, accelerated Improvement Workshops or similar team workshops, 6 Sigma, implementation of specific tools/events to improve siteKPI's, training on CI for all employees.
• Leading activities to deliver targeted improvement across the business.
• Working with all managers, instigate a culture of Continuous Improvement throughout the facilities.
• Mentoring/facilitating/running events in all areas of the business to implement strategy.
• Supporting all areas of the business to remove waste from their everyday task.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing and delivering business change with excellent leadership skills, experience and behaviours. Fundamentally, you will have the vision to define a successful change and improvement strategy and lead the delivery ofimprovement programmes. You will have highly effective interpersonal and influencing skills. The ability to grasp strategic concepts and issues readily, together with a high degree of commercial astuteness and a strong sense of accountability and delivery are also essential. Integral to this position is the importance of managing change, including the ability to motivate and influence people in the face of challenging circumstances.
It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills and maintain theplants' strategic improvement direction. Understanding and demonstrating high accountability standards are essential for this role.
Knowledge ofaerospace is ideal but not essential as we will consider candidates from other safety critical, regulated industries e.g. petrochemical, aerospace, defence, automotiveetc. Most importantly we're looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent leadership and influencing skills with exceptional interpersonal skills and has a proven track record for delivering results in a demanding environment.
