European Sales Manager

• As one of a highly skilled team of three reporting autonomously into the Managing Director your remit will be to develop export sales in Germany and Eastern Europe. The European Automotive parts & accessories market is very competitive and tightly knit; it requires a prolonged, consultative and robust approach.
• The market will be developed via two routes, specialised automotive retailers and the automotive parts aftermarket with specific focus and 75% of the business being done within the retail channel. The expansive product portfolio has lighting and auto electrical products at its core and consists of both shelf ready branded consumer products as well as items packaged for the replacement parts trade.
• This will be a Northern based role with some flexibility for the right candidate. Travel requirements will be dictated by yourself in what is a very autonomous role.

Who we're looking for
• First and foremost you will be an entrepreneurial, consultative European Sales Manager with proven successes developing export business in Germany.
• You will be conversant with managing European distributors and retailers and ideally demonstrate successes in selling both branded and private label products.
• Equally important is your ability to develop sales of new products early in lifecycle, as my client is innovation driven and has multiple product sku's.
• German language experience essential as is an extremely high level of commercial numeracy.

About our client
Ring Automotive was set-up in 1974 and supplies products to the automotive aftermarket through OEM's retailers, trade motor factors and cash and carry outlets.

It's an innovation led business and existing products comprise of two main areas: vehicle lighting products such as bulbs, auxiliary lamps, work lamps, beacons and other auto electrical items such as chargers and battery packs and inverters; leisure related products such as caravan and towing electrics, torches and travel coolers. Within these ranges are several key, well known branded products.

The division is the market leader in the UK in a number of these product groups
