• Management of the Branch's accounting records;
• To ensure the integrity and reliability of the Branch's accounting records;
• To ensure regular and timely updating of basic exchange rate and interest rate indicators to be adopted by the Branch's accounting and product systems;
• To maintain the integrity and reliability of the Unit operation and maintain the necessary records on the Branch's IT systems and respective files;
• To ensure the reconciliation of the Branch's nostro and vostro accounts;
• To ensure the daily delivery of accounting and portfolio position information to the appropriate departments at Head Office;
• To develop and maintain updated, the Branch's Chart of Accounts;
• To ensure the Branch's Regulatory Reporting System and the timely preparation and delivery of the various reports to supervisory and tax authorities in the UK;
• To ensure the parameterisation and maintenance of the accounting computer systems adopted by the Branch;
• To ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the Branch's accounting and tax trial balance sheets and balance sheets;
• To train junior staff in the unit on the different products and procedures;
• To ensure timely and accurate compliance with all Branch tax obligations;
• To define and ensure the maintenance/updating of the Unit's internal rules and procedures;
• To establish performance targets and ensure the monitoring of the professional performance of staff assigned to the Unit.

Who we're looking for
Portuguese speaking accountant with knowledge of Portuguese GAAP and UK GAAP
