• Lead one of the largest business lines towards profitable growth consistent with the strategic development plans of the company in terms of market sectors and product/service offerings
• Develop clear strategies and roadmaps for the business line
• Create vision and commercial delivery focus
• Translate, identify and articulate customer requirements into a meaningful, profitable product proposition
• Drive the cross functional/matrix relationships in a constructive and efficient way and embed effective ways of working
• Anticipate and drive changes to product sets in response to customer demand and interface with IT to make this happen
• Manage the strategy interface and existing relationship management interface to interpret market demand now and into the future for the development of new products and services
• Ensure optimal processes and resources for resolution of "live service" products for our customer base.
• Develop and leverage relationships at all levels within the UK, European and Asia Pac payments industry to be best informed to deliver the right service line strategy
• Drive industry "product" focus groups to develop awareness and build relationships
• Enhance understanding of our key customers business strategy in order to interpret and anticipate their current and future requirements
• Keep abreast of industry and customer developments and understand the impact of these on our lines of business
• Build a strong, collaborative and equal partnership with IT, Operations and Finance
• Develop the business line team to a new level of competence who champion their products and services, have deep technical understanding and can competently manage their service lines across a complex matrix environment
Who we're looking for
• Previous Managing Director level responsibility running an independent business and managing profit performance in a Business to Business management role
• Ideal industry experience would include banking, technology or business services, knowledge of large, outsourced contract provision being important
• A track record of delivering product strategy and supporting robust and compelling business cases
• Ability to influence effectively across all levels and in particular at senior levels cross-functionally
• Good people management skills that are effectively deployed to inspire, motivate and develop teams and individual to maximise their performance and potential
• Commercial acumen - able to manage complex contracts whilst at the same time developing innovative solutions to drive revenues from customer groups
