Credit Risk Director

Automotive Finance

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, with 5 direct reports and 14 indirect reports, the ideal candidate will be capable of:-
• Having primary responsibility for all aspects of Credit Risk within the Company.
• Maintaining prudent control over the Company's assets in Wholesale, Retail and Contract Hire.
• Ensuring the Wholesale Dealer Funding area of the business is managed in a professional, prudent and timely manner from a credit risk perspective.
• Overseeing the implementation of the Credit Policy.
• Ensuring the Retail and Underwriting Operations function performed by the company's supplier is in line with the contract and SLA.
• Participating in the general management of the Company as required by the MD.
• Representing the Company at relevant Industry meetings

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A strong track record at a senior level in a credit risk role within a comparable institution within the Motor Finance Industry.
• Strong experience across the credit risk spectrum including, credit analysis, portfolio management, retail (inc. Scorecard based assessment), wholesale and contract related credit risk and collections exposure.
• Some formal Project Management skills would be advantageous.
• Outstanding people management and communication skills.
• Experience of operating within an overseas subsidiary or with an overseas parent would be considered an advantage
