PFI Bid Director

Working withinthe Projects Division of this leading Waste Management firmthe person will manage the bid process for selected opportunities in PFI, PPP or other similar projects, and will control a programme of bid activity. Your responsibilities will include:
• Project Management of tenders, including compilation of tender responses, attending meeting with Local Authorities, Budget Planning and Control
• Waste flow analysis and solution design
• Engagement of key advisors and suppliers, within a defined framework
• Bid authoring and compilation of submission documents
• Risk assessment and management of project and bid risks
• Management of the Financial and Legal Closure of secured projects
• Development and control of agreed Project and Programme Budgets
• Development and mentoring of staff within team.
• Programme management and control of a number of bid projects

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be/have:
• IT literate - excellent Word, PowerPoint skills, MS Excel and MS Project
• Good command of English
•Driven and able to get on well with people, will be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills
• Organised, methodical with high level of project management skills
• Numerate and financially aware
• Ability to be assertive and tenacious in gathering and collating information
• Detailed knowledge of the Waste Industry, Local Authorities and PFI / PPP
