Business Unit Manager

Consumer Durables

Worcestershire

Permanent

Updated November 23, 2009

This Business Unit Manager role provides an excellent new opportunity to join a successful existing business.
Company expansion is enabling my client to invest in a fresh product line that already has a successful online track record. The Business Unit Manager will be given the opportunity to introduce this children's clothing line to both the UK and International retail market.
To achieve this you will first have to analyse the existing range and agree and develop the products to ensure that it is appropriate to each individual market sector. The existing company's brand name is well known and you will have to ensure that the new range successfully complements it. To do this you will have to communicate clients' wishes to the suppliers in the Far East.
You will have to analyse the wider market sector and decide where to position this line to achieve maximum success; both in regards to the clients you target and the overall strategy. Relationships already exist with key retailers, such as John Lewis. You will be required to introduce this clothing range to the existing customer base as well as formulating a new business strategy to target new clients. You will set, agree and control sales and cost budgets for this new unit, as well as being involved in any additional tasks that introducing a new product line may involve. As the business develops you will recruit and manage a team. There are no limits on how far you can develop this business unit and your career.
