Principal Consultant - Organisational Development and Change

Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development/Change Consulting, the role of Principal Consultant in Organisation Development and Change will be to work as an internal consultant in partnership with DWP senior leaders to diagnose, design and implement organisational development and change interventions that increase organisational effectiveness.
The areas of focus are:
• Embed the Organisation Design and Change Management Framework and Toolkit as a means of increasing DWP change capability

• Work flexibly as part of a team, maximising personal and team contribution to continued development of organisational effectiveness.

• Carry out organisational research and analysis to inform continued development of organisation effectiveness and change activity.

• Design and implement organisation/team/individual Organisational Development and Change interventions that increase organisational effectiveness.

• Build DWPs reputation as an opinion leader in the field of Organisational Development and Change.

• Deliver DWPs commitment to a cross government community of OD practitioners in service of effective Civil Service reform

This team works to meet the needs of internal clients and on self driven projects that support the Department's objectives and the priorities of the OD team.

Who we're looking for
You will have a demonstrable track record in researching, designing and leading organisational development and change interventions..You will have well developed consulting skills with experience of having worked as a consult in either an internal or external capacity. You have an ability to network and develop strong partnerships that deliver strategic and operational level OD and Change interventions. This is a customer focused role with an over arching aim to build and develop OD capability within the DWP.

Professional Qualifications
• A masters level qualification in Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Development or Organisational Effectiveness is desirable but not essential.
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development

What's on offer
£43,200-£53,480 (National rates) plus central government benefits £47,550-£58,070 (London rates) plus central government benefits. Flexible starting salary may be available subject to experience.
