Job Role
-Manage all transportation activities for the EAME region, including the design and implementation of domestic and global transportation strategies impacting customer service, cost, and freight recovery of the region
-Lead in a matrix reporting responsibility five Plant Transportation Managers
-Improve transportation-related customer service levels, negotiate/develop/update standardized transportation contracts, and manage freight revenue (recovery)
-Lead the annual transportation sourcing program, ensuring legal compliance
-Establish and maintain performance metrics against plans
-Manage the inbound and outbound domestic & international supply chain
-Lead and support the development of a performance improvement culture aligned towards delivering exceptional service with rigorous control of cost to the EAME operations
Who we're looking for
-University degree in Materials, Logistics Management or a related discipline
Experience in global transportation and logistics
-Proven strong (project) management and leadership skills in transportation/logistics/supply chain concepts and strategies, including IT selection/implementation across multiple sites and cultures
- Experience in international and domestic transportation lanes, including customs, warehousing (FTZ), contract negotiations, tariff management and freight revenue/recovery
-Management of third party providers, both operations and process (e.g. freight pay & audit)
-Fluency in English, and ideally a strong understanding of German, French, or Finnish
-Excellent communication skills; ability to work in a matrix organisation
-Ability to travel 35-50%
