Reporting to the EVP Europe the key responsibilities will include:

• Operating as a member of the European Supervisory Management Board and playing a key role in developing a business strategy that will focus on growth and developing the range of services offered to a growing client base.

• Providing strategic and financial leadership across the European region.

• Delivering visionary and tactical guidance to the EVP Europe.

• Playing a key role in restructuring the European business and developing financial processes and procedures to meet the needs of business moving forward.

• Following the recent restructure of the European businesses so as to be better placed to succeed in their present and prospective markets, the successful candidate will develop financial processes and procedures to meet their future needs.

• Directing the finance function across the region and in support of each business. Ensuring the timely and accurate financial and management reporting in to Group.

• Ensuring the continuous development of potential and talent within the European Finance function.

Who we're looking for
Prospective candidates will be qualified accountants with a demonstrable track record of success gained operating in an International / Pan-European Finance Director role. Experience of working in a fast paced service led business would be a pre-requisite. You will have strong technical finance skills coupled with an exceptional commercial awareness and the ability to influence and maximise the capability of the European business. Most important are excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to be a team player and to be integral to the Senior Team in Europe and the respective Territory Senior Teams, as well as building strong relationships across the European business and with Group.

Headquartered in North America our client is a leading distributer of home entertainment products. The business has developed a global presence partnering an enviable portfolio of blue chip clients. The European business has attained great success generating revenues in excess of $800m and employing 3,000 staff across the region. The European operation has recently restructured the business to meet the opportunities in the market and as a result there is a need to recruit a Chief Financial Officer for Europe.
