You will work closely with the Company Secretary to promote the highest standards of governance across the Peabody Group, particularly for major projects and transactions. You will also keep under review all developments in governance and regulation within the social housing sector, providing advice to the Board, the Executive Team and others, and developing governance and compliance arrangements. You will provide advice on charity and company law and on regulatory requirements, and you will manage governance reviews and support the recruitment, induction and ongoing engagement of Board Members. You will provide company secretarial services, including; preparation for meetings, collation and distribution of papers, minuting meetings and managing a library of legislative and regulatory documents. You will hold office as Company Secretary of Peabody's subsidiaries and you will be competent at deputising for the Company Secretary.
Who we're looking for
You must be a qualified Chartered Secretary (ACIS) with a minimum of two years experience of servicing boards and committees. You will have experience of forming and maintaining constructive working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels. You must also have experience of developing arrangements and systems for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will be able to interpret and analyse information to identify any action required. Whilst an understanding of social housing would be useful, it is in no way a prerequisite and applicants from all sectors are encouraged, particularly those in property and related sectors.
