As a key member of the Fundraising Team, the Corporate and Trusts Fundraiser will assist the Corporate and Trust Fundraising Manager in all aspects of Corporate and Trusts fundraising, including income from statutory sources.
The position requires drive and enthusiasm, as well as an ability to simultaneously work across a number of different projects. It requires an individual who is equally at home producing detailed, accurate written work, as well as presenting in front of the board of a local company. A real team ethic in working across the Fundraising Team and the Charity as a whole is paramount.
Key Duties:
• Assist with the planning, development and implementation of corporate and trusts fundraising strategies to ensure that the charity maximises its income through these areas
• Research and understand the needs of the Charity and communicate them in a clear, consistent way to potential funders, ensuring that they are directed towards projects of real worth
• Build strong, long-term relationships with all corporate and trust supporters, whether local or national, through regular meetings, communications, networking, written updates and other feedback as appropriate.
• Work alongside all volunteers working in corporate and trusts fundraising and the Fundraising team and Charity as a whole
• Ensure that support from all corporate and trust donors is maximised by providing them with the most appropriate ways of supporting the charity aiming to achieve a diverse range of support wherever possible
• Help to develop and co-ordinate a range of corporate events, campaigns and activities, which appeal to different kinds of corporate supporters
• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of new supporter strategies to include research of potential funders (local and national), proactive approaches and formal pitches/proposals, with due consideration of the charity's aims and objectives (and therefore being mindful of any potential ethical issues).
• Source in kind support either for use within the charity, by families supported by the Charity, or for sale in the charity's network of shops
• Work in partnership with umbrella organisations in optimising national fundraising initiatives.
• Use the Charity's Database to manage all relationships (both individual and organistaional), ensuring ensuring all records are kept up to date.
