Growth in business and careful succession planning has created an opportunity for a hands on trader to operate within this Bahamian based firm. Winterbotham provides non-discretionary brokerage services to institutional, corporate and individual clients. They are a prime broker to a large investment fund and provide foreign exchange services to corporate and individual clients.
Both securities trading and foreign exchange are key revenue contributors and the candidate will have full P&L responsibility for these activities.
With this in mind a hands on securities trader is required who can assume responsibility for the running and administration of the securities division and assist with the development of the business.
Who we're looking for
• The ideal candidate will have demonstrable securities trading experience and be Series 7 or equivalent qualified.
• He/she will have experience operating a trading and FOREX desk.
• He/she must be able to transact business in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
• The candidate should have sound communication and inter-personal skills, be motivated by working for a small, dynamic and diversified entrepreneurial financial services business.

The Winterbotham Trust Company was founded by its current Chairman over 20 years ago. The Company is a financial services boutique providing tailor made solutions to meet the financial and commercial objectives of entrepreneurs and their companies. Such target clients will typically have cross border operations. The Company's core businesses are: corporate services; trust services; fund services; banking services (cash management - international receipts and payments, fiduciary placements and FOREX); corporate finance (focused on structured trade finance, factoring and M&A SMEs).
The Company historically focused its efforts in Latin America and maintains a presence and consolidated client base in this region. Over the last decade the Company has diversified its markets in Europe and the CIS and most recently into Hong Kong to spear head its initiatives in Asia. This role is based in Winterbothams' head office in Nassau, The Bahamas.
The Bahamas itself extends 760 miles from the coast of Florida on the north-west almost to Haiti on the south-east. The group consists of 700 islands with the principal island being New Providence where the capital, Nassau, is located. The climate is warm and pleasant, the average Bahamian temperature is 70°F/ 21°C in the winter and about 86°F/ 30°C in the summer.
What's on offer
A competitive base salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus housing allowance plus profit share plus discretionary bonus. (There is no income tax in The Bahamas).
