The LSB is looking for a Legal Advisor who will provide support for both the General Counsel and the Senior Management Team and will be able to contribute to implementing and delivering on our business plan, which can be found at www.legalservicesboard.org.uk/news_publications/publications/index.htm .
The Role:
• Ongoing legal support, as a reliable second in command for the General Counsel, to all LSB colleagues, assisting with supplier contracts, HR support, knowledge of LSA 2007, regulatory laws, court process and judicial review.
• Proactive/reactive project specific support, identifying potential legal issues impacting on projects the LSB undertakes.
• Maintaining the legal knowledge base and implementing internal legal training.

Who we're looking for
• It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be an experienced lawyer with practical public law exposure, some of which will have been spent in private practice, though it is also likely that additional experience may have been gained in industry or a public sector organisation.
• Ability to work well under pressure with a premium on efficiency; to effectively prioritise and deliver quality work in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ability to deal with legal issues in a commercial and pragmatic manner, being able to influence effectively at all levels of the organisation.
• Pro active, keen to take on responsibility and be prepared to be accountable for their actions and demonstrate a maturity of outlook.
