You will lead the operational and supply chain functions for one of my clients most successful businesses. The complexity and scale of operation make this a challenging assignment which will stretch your capabilities and management skills.
You will lead a team of senior managers, ensuring that the skills, direction and operational leadership lead to performance which meets or exceeds customer expectations. There is a great deal of short term movement within the product mix, this leads to constantly changing operational needs and the ability to react quickly to specific issues is key to success. The facility works on a 24x7 basis with a significant unionised workforce in excess of 500 heads.

Who we're looking for
You will be an established operational leader from a high volume, high SKU, time critical manufacturing environment. A track record in the FMCG sector would be a distinct advantage as would a demonstrable record in tackling embedded cultural issues.
Specific skill requirements are focussed around the manufacturing and supply chain aspects of business and the implementation of relevant continuous improvement methodologies. Candidates with a track record of operational excellence in the packaging or print sector would be of particular interest but this should not preclude outstanding candidates from other process-based sectors being considered.

You will join the company at a key time in its evolution with the remit to drive the performance of one of the key value streams within the business.
