The role of Director of Corporate Services at 11 MILLION is both broad and varied in scope. Part of the senior management team the post holder is responsible for providing strategic financial management expertise and sound financial control to all aspects of the affairs of this £3 million turnover statutory body. The role has responsibility for developing and leading a professional, high-performing team to ensure the effective, efficient and economic delivery of corporate support services to 11 MILLION (including finance, HR, IT, risk management, business planning, premises management and administration).

A truly influential post the Director of Corporate Services will work closely with the Children's Commissioner, Deputy Children's Commissioner/ Chief Executive and other directors to shape the strategic direction of 11 MILLION. While working at a senior level within 11 MILLION you will also have a 'hands-on' approach showing a willingness to engage with any tasks that fall under your broad remit. Additionally the role will require the post holder to maintain and build numerous relationships both internally and externally with the Department for Children, Schools and Families among other external bodies including the National Audit Office, Regulatory bodies and external consultants.

Who we're looking for
The right person for the post will be a CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) qualified accountant. You must have experience as Finance Director in a similar organisation where you have had responsibility for more than simply finance (HR, IT, risk management, business planning, premises management and administration). The post holder must have extensive experience of the following:

Overseeing a human resources function
Leading business planning & performance management
Risk management
Experience at senior management/ board level

Experience of working in a similar or public sector organisation would be ideal but applicants will be considered from all sectors.

You will be a strong team player and looking to be involved in all aspects of the business. You must also support the ethos of the organisation, in terms of promoting the best interests of children and young people. Willingness to work with children and young people is also essential.
