Job Role
For this key role, you will be responsible for the management of the Liberian affiliate in terms of commercial development, operational structure and financial results.
Heading a team of 30 people, you will be directly reporting to the Managing Director for sub-Saharan Africa and your key responsibilities will be to:
1. Manage ongoing projects and develop a successful commercial strategy for the country;
2. Define and implement annual budget plans and provide regular reports to the headquarters in Europe;
3. Represent the company externally with government, statutory/ regulatory bodies and business partners;
4. Take on full P&L accountability of the subsidiary.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- A university degree in business or in engineering;
- Experience in business/ project development or profit center management;
- A significant experience in the forestry sector in Africa;
- Ethically minded and able to work under pressure in challenging environments;
- Drive, flexibility, excellent leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit;
- Autonomous and hands-on approach.
- Fluency in English.
