In what is a newly created role with an exciting London based business, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for the growth and development of given brands under their expanding portfolio. The company are the sole distributors forvarious international brandsfor themin the UK and Ireland.The brands span across men's, women's and children's wear and are unique,varying from high fashion classics, knitwear and basics, to quirky and edgy denim and casuals including hoodies and t-shirts. Due to recent success and growth plans the business had aneed for a Business Development Manager role to manage existing accounts and relationships with the current distribution network whilst expanding on this in a clear and strategic manner. An exciting opportunity for someone who will bring their enthusiasm and contacts to a medium sized business in a role that will develop and grown in an autonomous environment with lively and interesting brands to work with.
This role will require implementation of the full sales cycle including identifying, targeting and prospecting for new business, and managing key relationships. In addition, you will be required to:
• Introduce the company portfolio and the brands
• Manage and build the relationship with the sales agents
• Identify key market trends and monitor competitor behaviour
• Identify and represent the company at trade fairs and other networking/sales opportunities
• Coordinating promotional activities with key accounts
Who we're looking for
To be considered for this role you will need to be a result-driven proven performer in new business and account management within a fashion related role, with understanding ofthe UK fashion industry, particularly in relation to agent distribution. In addition you will need to demonstrate the level of commitment, passion and dedication to enable the business to grow and ensure future success.
Other requirements in order to be considered:
• Display a level of maturity to work to be able to work autonomously
• Be an exceptional rapport builder and team player
• Be able to sell a mixed range of products
• Has an insight of the current fashion trends and competitive environment
• Strong negotiator,coordinator and a big personality!
• Existing contacts within the industry
• Hold a UK driver's license
