As Engineering Manager you will apply planned maintenance, continuous improvement, six sigma and lean methodologies to minimize site downtime and ensure maximum site output and efficiency. Working alongside the site manager you will be the site contact for all engineering related assignments including being responsible for the engineering budget and site capital projects. As part of the senior management team you will drive the highest standards of quality, health & safety, engineering and process improvement throughout the business and responsible for individuals cross-functionally within the Engineering and Operations team. You will be responsible for the man management, coaching and development individuals towards improved productivity and will deputise for the Site Manager when necessary. You will be required to support engineering projects across the business in Europe and further afield.
Who we're looking for
The suitable candidate will have a proven background in Chemical/Adhesives industry or have a strong industry understanding of fluid dynamics, blending and batch processing. You will have successfully implementing Engineering process improvements, developed preventative/predictive maintenance strategies alongside breakdown repairs, lean manufacturing, process improvement and health and safety all to the highest of standards. The Engineering Manager will be able to combine the ability to work on a strategic level with exceptional leadership ability to bring about the highest levels of success amongst teams. You will be a strong project manager and ideally a degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with PLC knowledge.
