Responsibilities
You will lead a team to provide audit and non-audit services across the banking, insurance and investment management sectors. This will involve the provision of services to a portfolio of audit clients, covering both internal and external audit clients. Tasks will include managing the staffing of the job, the financial performance and ensuring that key deadlines are achieved.
A key aspect will be managing work undertaken in connection with internal and external audit reviews, reporting directly to a partner or director. Other important responsibilities will include:
Leading of internal and external team and client meetings
Interviews with key client contacts throughout the delivery process
Managing the personal and professional training and development of your team
You will also assume responsibilities for Business Development initiatives and activities commensurate with your Manager grade.
Who we're looking for
CA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
Experience of working with IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP
Experience of management of the audit from planning to supervision and review of the process
Audit management experience within the Financial Services industry including training and staff development
Flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team
Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships
A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
It is essential that candidates have experience of managing audit within a financial services client base
You will have experience of interacting with senior level clients and management to develop and maintain business relationships, principally in the areas of retail banking services, Building Societies and intermediaries
Experience of financial reporting and in particular IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, SOX and international standards on auditing would be required
Candidates will also be required to demonstrate the ability to contribute to new initiatives whether building relationships with target clients or other Business Development activities
A reasonable degree of flexibility in relation to travel will be expected to serve the regional nature of the client base
