A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a prestigious Practice in Gloucestershire. As a partner designate you will be responsible for directing and supervising staff on planning, undertaking and completing audits within the SME sector The successful candidate will be a commercially driven, qualified Accountant who has extensive audit experience, ideally in a Top 20 firm. Our clients are looking for an effective and inspiring people manager who will want to help drive the company forward and add to its success. You will be involved in new business generation through cross selling, networking and client events. Who we're looking for
The business is looking to recruit a general practice partner designate who will be able to specialise in the audit function.
• As an engagement partner you will manage a client portfolio including sole traders, partnership and limited companies requiring a variety of accounting and tax services.
• You will review the work completed by the team in preparation for client meetings.
• It is essential that you have or are able to obtain a practicing certificate & Responsible Individual (RI) status.
• You will supervise and control the completion of all audits including medium-sized and large companies and groups. You will be required to be very hands on and will be expected to carry out audits with the rest of the team.
•You will be expected to take an active role in practice development
• Experience of charities would be a clear benefit and other niche markets can be developed.
• You will complete all audit files and represent the firm at client meetings.
• There will be close links with the tax team thus an understanding of tax matters would be desirable.
• You will be expected to respond to all technical questions in your area of responsibility and respond to any related questions on client matters.
