The pivotal remit will be tasked with driving the European FP&A function to support business needs during a sustained period of growth and development. The role will report to the Head of Global FP&A and will have a dotted line relationship with the European CFO. The position will have significant interaction with the European Business and their Finance Divisions as well as the US Group HQ.
Your remit will be:
- Owning the European FP&A function across Europe
- Analysing, interpreting, and communicating results to Executive leadership and the Board of Directors
- Coordinating European forecasting and planning activities, and acting as liaison between European Finance and Global FP&A functions
- Developing monthly forecast presentations for Executive and Business leadership
- Identifying and driving performance improvements and growth initiatives
- Developing top down financial predictive models for businesses (including Business Development and M&A support)
- Forecasting accuracy and tool sets, standardization of financial processes and metrics, and introduction of new analytical concepts
- Implementations of new forecasting and planning tools and systems
- Providing support on Key Business Initiatives as needed
- Providing value-added support to business owners and the Executive team on a routine and ad hoc basis
- Supporting Investor Relations, M&A and New Business Development initiatives
- Driving continuous process improvements including systems and procedures
Who we're looking for
Based in either our UK, France or German operations, you will be of graduate calibre and qualified, and have relevant experience in Corporate Finance, gained preferably within a multi-national environment (ideally US owned). You will have a demonstrable background of working within / driving FP&A, and / or M&A activity ideally for a truly global organisation. A strong stakeholder manager, you will have the ability to communicate effectively at operating board level.
In addition we require:
• A firm understanding of financial concepts and an ability to apply concepts in business situations
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Initiative, an ability to work independently, and strong leadership skills with potential to progress
• Practical understanding of forecasting and budgeting tools, and systems (Hyperion preferred)
Significant International travel is expected and you will be away c.25% of your time.
