Asset Finance Lawyer (4+ PQE)

This firm is one of the leading law firms advising both public and private sectors in the increasingly dynamic global transport industry.The Asset Finance team is experienced in transactions involving the procurement, financing and leasing of aircraft, ships, heavy and light rolling stock, rail infrastructure, oil rigs, power turbines and other moveable equipment.They work with a wide range of structures and products, including operating and finance leases, structured tax based financings, export-credit transactions, asset portfolio sales and purchases, leasing company acquisitions, Islamic Finance structures and residual value arrangements.

Our client's international team of specialist lawyers advise a diverse client base and regularly act for banks, lessors, arrangers, airlines, ship owners and operators, train operating companies and manufacturers. Additionally we are able to advise on issues arising from the complex regulatory and liability environment in which their clients operate.

Who we're looking for
Our client's Asset Finance team now seeks an additional solicitor/associate with around four years' experience gained at a leading firm with a strong reputation in this field. Candidates must be technically strong, with an appetite for business development.

The UK Finance and Projects Group is a lender led business and acts for a wide range of institutions including clearing banks (they are on the panel of all the UK's clearers), investment banks, building societies, monoline insurers, issuers, borrowers and institutional investors. The projects business stream acts for funders, sponsors and public bodies and is active in a variety of sectors including defence, transport, utilities and energy, accommodation, education and waste management amongst others. With over 50 UK based partners and approximately 200 specialist lawyers,the group's expertise covers all aspects of finance including leveraged finance, asset finance, infrastructure and project finance, real estate finance, capital markets including securitisation, structured finance and receivables, Islamic finance, film finance and consumer finance. Within these areas they offer advice on financing techniques and products including international Bond issues, debt restructuring, derivatives and syndicated lending. Recent deal highlights include the £955m public to private takeover of Arcadia Group plc and the financing of Transport for London's Congestion Charging Scheme.They appear on the panels of numerous clearers and major financial institutions.
